In front of a packed audience, Sullivan and Oswald discussed the practical business applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in their talk: Shaping the Role of Data Science: An Evolution Towards Prescriptive Analytics as a Key Driver in Revenue Acceleration.
At IRIS.TV, our business builds machine learning solutions for video and content programming automation with the end goal to deliver a great user experience as evidenced by users viewing more video content. This talk outlined our reasons for expanding from a descriptive/predictive approach to data analytics toward a philosophy that features more prescriptive analytics, driven by our data science team.
