IRIS.TV Brings Video Intelligence to IBC with Google Cloud

In addition to its video personalization and programming offering, IRIS.TV will demo its recently announced contextual ad targeting for video.
The contextual ad targeting solution enables premium publishers to place context tags on video to let publishers sell and execute video advertisements that are aligned to the subject matter of a specific piece of video content. For example, a sports publisher would be able to categorize its video library enabling a sporting goods manufacturer to buy advertising aligned with sports videos. The process involves analyzing and categorizing a publisher’s video library with contextual segments that are then made available to the programmatic ecosystem. The contextual data is then packaged into private marketplaces for advertisers to execute against utilizing a Deal ID. Publishers may also utilize contextual data for direct deal targeting via their ad server.
