The Role
IRIS.TV is looking for a Planning Operations Manager. In this role you will report to the Director of Planning Operations and lead day to day deal lifecycle and operations activities for the Platform Operations Team. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting communication of IRIS.TV training materials to respective demand facilitation teams, deal tracking and campaign management with respective supply-chain partners, providing product feedback, solutioning process challenges, and liaising with Publisher Account Management on cross-functional needs.
The appropriate candidate is likely mid-level with experience across Planning and Operations for Media or Ad Monetization Platforms. The selected candidate will start as an individual contributor and the role may expand to include people management as we continue to scale. Candidates must be willing to act as a player / coach regardless.
The person in this role will be key in the swivel chair between ours and our Partners' Demand Facilitation teams and our ad tech partners along the supply chain. As we continue to grow, this person will be influential in operations strategy for sales planning and self-service tools for those teams as well.
Location
Los Angeles HQ or NYC is preferred but open to North America - Remote with ability to travel to either city when needed.
Responsibilities
Lead all activities with Demand Facilitation Partners (SSPs, Data Partners, and Publishers) including IRIS.TV context trainings, pre-sales support, and general partner management
- Includes guiding partners through forecasting process and consulting on relevant data segment usage through quantitative analysis
- Manage deal tracking, campaign management reporting, and deal troubleshooting for IRIS-enabled PMP deals.
- Interface with ad platform partners on possible deal optimizations and pricing suggestions where applicable.
Work with internal teams and external product partners on process creation and maintenance for self-serve platforms used by Demand Facilitation Partners
Liaise with Product and Data Engineering to create and improve features as needed to facilitate process enhancements and self-serve tools
Provide feedback on market and demand trends
Build case studies with Business Intelligence and provide Demand Trends to GTM Leadership
Support cross-functionally as needed across Product, Publisher Account Management, and Business Development
Qualifications
2+ years related work experience overall
1+ years Pricing and Planning Experience
1+ years Account Management or Ad Operations Experience
Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel required- you're comfortable with vlookups and could create a pivot table in your sleep
CRM and Order Management System Experience (i.e. Salesforce, Hubspot, Operative, boostr, etc.) is strongly preferred
Campaign Management and Planning experience at either a Publisher or DSP/Agency strongly preferred
Understanding of Supply-Side and Buy-side Ad Tech including, but not limited to, oRTB Spec, publisher ad stacks, ad tech auction dynamics, video distribution technology in general is strongly preferred
Bonus points if you have experience with
Hands-on experience with modern Video AdServers and SSPs, such as Freewheel, SpringServe, GAM, and/or Publica; Magnite, SpotX, Xandr, Index, etc.
MVPD/Content Distribution Partners such as Sling/Dish, Xumo, Fubo, etc.
Prior roles have varied practical experience across more than one pillar of the CTV Lumascape
Knowledge of code platforms such as Airtable and Zapier as well as experience in data visualization tools such as Google DataStudio a plus
